In Our Students’ Hands
In Our Classrooms
Student – Teacher – Parent Connection
Teachers, students, and parents are connected through our use of Renweb – an online grading, reporting, and educational resource. Using Renweb, students can keep track of their class assignments and access their individual grade reports. Likewise, parents can see assignment grades and real-time term grades. Renweb has streamlined much of the teacher’s grading requirements – freeing them to focus more on their teaching. Students and parents can sign in to the Renweb system from any computer using their Parent Login, created during the enrollment process. Currently, Renweb is being utilized in our Middle School and High School.
Protecting Our Children
At Quakertown Christian School, we go to great lengths to protect our students from being exposed to inappropriate content online.
- Every student receives annual Internet safety training which is appropriate to their age and grade level. They learn how to recognize and avoid online dangers and are taught the importance of respecting their parent’s guidance when using the computer.
- QCS employs technology measures to prevent exposure to inappropriate and damaging content. These measures include web content filtering, firewalls and virus protection. We also do high-level monitoring of web usage to assure compliance.
The school is fully compliant with the Children’s Internet Protection Act which addresses concerns about children’s access to obscene or harmful content over the Internet. The QCS Board has adopted an Acceptable Use of Internet and Network Resources Policy & Internet Safety Policy. This policy describes, in detail, the acceptable use of computing resources and also what steps we take to protect our students. Staff and faculty are required to agree to comply with these measures.
Google Workspace for Education
QCS uses the Education Fundamentals tools provided with Google Workspace for Education. The use of these tools is covered in the Google Workspace for Education Services Agreement.
